Innovative Carbon Offset Solutions

Cows eating 1.2

Who We Are .

Singapore-based AgCoTech, is the owner of an innovative medicated block technology.

AgCoTech has commenced the development of a global platform to manufacture and deliver the product to farming communities in developing countries, which will:

  • Provide a program for green house gas (GHG) emitters to offset their emissions; and
  • Improve productivity of livestock to reduce poverty and achieve better health and wealth outcomes for the farming communities.

Patented & Proven Technology .

The new patented technology is a liquid feed solution that sets in a hard-palatable block. The unique formulation and confidential manufacturing process provides a finished product that has been scientifically proven to reduce GHG emissions and improve productivity in ruminants. The blocks are designed for all climates including tropical or arid zones, allowing for a measured intake by the animal.

This technology allows large numbers of ruminants to have daily access to a proven medicated supplement and can be manufactured in various block sizes to suit individual operations (20kg, 40kg, 100kg and 500kg.)

The Results .

Greenhouse gas emissions reduced

The methane (greenhouse gasses) reduction alone could measure in the millions of tonnes (1 tonne of CO2 equivalent per medicated block) a year.

Healthier animals

The blocks improve the animal's ability to metabolise their feed much more efficiently, making the most of all available nutrients. Resulting in bigger and healthier animals that produce significantly less methane.

Improved social and community outcomes

Healther animals improve smallholder farm wealth and the production chain employs local people.

All stakeholders along the supply chain benefit. From the animal itself, to the farmers, to the suppliers of the raw materials and to the organisations who are wanting to offset their emissions.

Benefits of the Program .

Livestock

  • Produce less methane.
  • Increased overall animal health.
  • Improved feed conversion.
  • Increased milk production for offspring.
  • Higher cow fertility.
  • Higher cow/calf survival rates.

Farmers

  • Increased milk production.
  • Higher cow/calf survival rates.
  • More beef, cattle and dairy available to sell.
  • Easier mustering.
  • Improved production for the same amount of work.
  • Improved return on investment and overall wealth improvement.

Local & World Wide Community

  • Significant reduction in methane production.
  • Improved smallholder farmer wealth and reducing rural poverty.
  • Improved diets of human infants through improved beef/milk production.
  • Improved gender equality.
  • Increased employment opportunities for both men and women. AgCoTech has a goal to achieve 50% gender neutral employment for all facets of its manufacturing/distribution model.

Where To Next ?

We are working towards opening manufacturing facilities in developing countries close to key areas where the product can be used. Currently, our rollout plan includes Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, Kenya, India and Argentina.

These facilities will replicate our commercially successful south-east Queensland plant and will provide jobs for locals, use locally supplied materials and ensure the product is able to be delivered in the most carbon-neutral means.
